Time Out Turns 50!

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck QuartetThis year, the jazz world celebrates the golden anniversary of The Dave Brubeck Quartet's groundbreaking album Time Out. It was in 1959 that the album "shook up the notion of rhythm in jazz" with an odd-metered song called Take Five.*
The JazzPod, our jazz-themed iPod that you can check out of the library, contains the entire original Time Out album, including the legendary hits Take Five and Blue Rondo à la Turk. Ask for the JazzPod at the Circulation Desk.
